Janeth Rios

Janeth Rios, an educator for six years, currently serves as an Assistant Principal at H. Grady Spruce High School. Janeth’s passion for serving others began when she was in high school. She attended a magnet high school with an education program that sparked her passion for mentoring and teaching others. Therefore, she decided to graduate undergrad with a Bachelor’s in Nutritional Science and a minor in STEM teaching from Texas A&M University. She immediately began teaching Biology at Skyline High School and continued to grow her passion for serving students by pivoting into Career Technical Education courses. She firmly believes all students deserve to be exposed to a career they are interested in. She went on to become the lead teacher for the NAF Academy of Health Science, in which she took pride in giving students opportunities such as going on tours to UT Southwestern Hospital and Colleges. From there, she worked on a Master's degree in Urban School Leadership at Southern Methodist University and became a Campus/NAF coordinator at Bryan Adams. During this time, she focused on maintaining, recruiting, and supporting the work-based learning opportunities of the NAF academies. These experiences helped shape and prepare Janeth to serve the community of Spruce High School. She is ecstatic to serve the Spruce staff and community.
